The adventure circuit with zip line and rope walk was part of our leadership retreat. We have a very competitive executive team and everyone wanted to finish first. But the circuit required teamwork not speed. One of our VPs famously impatient had to wait for his teammate to finish a balance walk before he could proceed. He almost lost his mind then he started cheering her on. That moment shifted the whole dynamic of our offsite. We came back to work less siloed. I will be honest when HR said outbound training, I expected some cheesy trust falls
and awkward icebreakers. But Gotezus low rope course man that thing terrified me.
